Compagnie Maritime Nantaise - MN, a subsidiary of the Sogestran Group, is proud to have contributed to research on the development of the sailing industry by implementing the ’proof of concept’ of the WISAMO solution.
The richness of this adventure is as much human as it is technological
The collaboration between the MN Pélican crew and the Wisamo R&D team led to the navigation of this sail prototype on a vessel in full commercial operation for Brittany Ferries in the Bay of Biscay, between Bilbao and Poole.
The Compagnie Maritime Nantaise - MN team, both shoreside and seafaring, worked closely with Michelin’s teams to share, help them understand, and acquaint them with our environment. It is from this collaborative effort that the pride of contributing to the development of a new technology emerges.
This adventure has allowed us to:
contribute to the reliability of a decarbonization solution for the entire maritime industry in close collaboration with an equipment manufacturer;
give meaning to the shared commitment of a company and its sailors.
We were able to offer our crews a glimpse of the maritime transport era change: a preview that is a source of meaning and pride!
