Delivery of the POINTE DE CAUX

On 31 August 2022, the Pointe de Caux has been delivered to Sogestran Shipping in the port of Tuzla - Turkey - by the RMK shipyard.
The latest tanker in the fleet is unique in many ways: using diesel as its main fuel, she is equipped with a battery pack that allows her to operate in "hybrid" mode. In addition, to minimise her carbon footprint, she is equipped with a shore power connection system, which will allow her to stop her generators, both when loading and unloading. Finally, the bridge is covered with solar panels that will help provide electricity on board.
With a length of 110 m and a width of 14 m, this chemical tanker has been specially designed to supply the TOTAL Fluides plant located in Oudalle, along the Tancarville canal. To do this, it has a low draft and a low air draft, allowing her to navigate on this canal normally used by inland boats.
She will be on a long-term contract with TOTAL Fluides.
